Introduction to Ikebana

Join Ikebana Artist Brooke Pohl for an Inspiring and Delightful Day!!

Ikebana, an ancient Japanese art form, combines the products of nature with one's creativity to open a path of self-discovery.  In this class you will learn basic ikebana forms and techiques in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Time: 10am to 4pm

Fee: $75 includes flowers which you may take home with you.

Registration: You must preregister to hold your spot!

What to Bring: a low flat container (a round cake pan works), kenzan (Flower pin frog) and flower cutters. These supplies will also be available for purchase.

Lunch: There will be a lunch break. Feel free to either go out to eat or bring your lunch. A fridge and microwave are available.


About the Artist 

Brooke Benn Pohl lives in Lexington, Kentucky, and has studied Sogetsu Ikebana for 25 years with Sensei Noriko Fields in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Brooke has taught workshops and classes throughout North America and created arrangements for the Lexington Symphony, various restaurants and other public and private venues.
