Freedom from Within: Rediscovering your Voice through the Yoga
    of Sound with Romi Kalova

    Saturday March 16, 1-3 pm

As we continue our celebration of International Women's Week, please join Certified Yoga Therapist and Czech native, Romi Kalova, for an inspiring two hour workshop, including experiential practice of Nāda Yoga (the yoga of sound), narrative discussion and Q&A. Discover your unique capacity to honor and express Universal Sound.

Romi’s childhood and teenage years spent under the oppressive communist regime in the former Czechoslovakia created a deeply embedded story that continues to live through her even today, after living in the U.S. for many years. Becoming more aware of this deeply embedded trauma and how it plays out living as an immigrant woman in a different culture was crucial to begin to heal and transform this story.

The Yoga of Sound offers the opportunity for a unique journey emphasizing the use of your own voice to explore its harmonic, resonant or dissonant qualities, and deepening your ability to listen and hear. To hear the subtlest of sounds, to feel the subtlest of sensations, which as a result manifests as becoming more sensitive and more attuned to everything within and around you.

This remarkable vocal training teaches us about the voice and its connection to our soul and the Heart of the Universe. This practice is one of fine-tuning the instrument of YOUR voice, and through your voice, everything you are—feelings, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, needs, desires—in order to experience profound transformation.
